Johnny Mudcrab Seafoods was founded by John Mudcrab Nancarrow in 1972, John being the first person to commercially sell Queensland Mudcrabs live to the Sydney Fish Markets. In 1989 John moved from Townsville to Cairns and diversified into other seafood products as well as game meats and frozen local fruits. Today the business supplies a vast range of quality seafood products in live, fresh and frozen form to resorts, restaurants and wholesalers in North Queensland, Australia and various countries throughout the globe.

John Nancarrow - John has been involved in the seafood industry for 30 years and has expertise in all facits including catching through to marketing, John’s passion is The North Queensland Mudcrab.

Emma Nancarrow-Abbas - Emma’s role is operations ,administration and purchasing of quality product. Emma has grown up with seafood but has worked actively in the business for 10 years.

David Abbas - David is a qualified Chef and has worked in the Food Service industry since leaving his trade for some 23 years. David expertise is in distribution and the customer.

Shandelle Maddox - Shandelle role is to liase with our customers on a daily basis, as well as looks after the procurement of all imported product. Shandelle has worked in the Seafood Distribution business for some 3 years.

Greg Holmes - Greg has run Seafood business of his own and has been seafood department manager in the large retail chain stores, Gregs expertise is in processing and knowledge of fish species as well as recovery of fish processing.

Noel Steel (Rolly) – Rolly is our distribution supervisor, having managed clubs and hotels Rolly is very aware of customers needs and requirements.

Scott Bickerstaff - Scott runs our processing area, processing fresh fish into fillets and portion control pieces. Having had 5 years of experience, in fish processing for fish farms all over Queensland, Scotts ability is well sort after.
